Raised in the temperate climate of Southern California, Robby migrated to Bend post-Covid to escape the overpopulation and to have access to the open spaces and open minds of Bend. From the moment he stepped foot in the hostel he knew he was home. He started at reception and housekeeping, moved to beertending, and is now managing the bar and events. Best way to get to know Robby is to go on a bike ride or just about any warm weather sport. In his time away from the hostel he likes to practice global vagrancy and see the world for as little as possible, often choosing work-trades and other forms of volunteering as a way to instantly integrate and experience places as more than simply a tourist.

Frankie is a Northwest native and active pursuer of global travel. Since living in Ecuador as an exchange student at age 17, he can’t finish one trip before planning the next. “I like to think I’m retracing the steps of early explorers and great thinkers” -- from Charles Darwin on the Galapagos Islands to Edmund Hillary at Mount Everest base camp. As a medical technician with long hours and extended time off, Frankie traveled the world networking with amazing people of all cultures and hopes Bunk+Brew will help fellow travelers do the same.
